Cervical Care

Upper cervical chiropractic care is a form of chiropractic care that involves adjustments of the upper two vertebrae, the axis and atlas. These vertebrae form a bridge that connects the neck to the head and control the nerves that carry information from all parts of the body to the brain. When they are not aligned or aren’t moving properly the spinal bones below them must compensate for this. This spinal compensation can cause skeletal and muscular imbalance. By properly aligning the top of the nervous system, messages flow more effectively through the body. During the adjustment your head, neck, and spine are in a neutral position. And the adjustment is given to the exact bone that needs to be corrected, in the exact angle it needs to move for correct biomechanics in that joint. There is no twisting, torquing, or popping of the neck.
