Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is a stand-alone, non-invasive, drug-free treatment that balances the brain allowing the benefits to flow down through the nervous, immune, and endocrine systems. It is a biofeedback for the brain and is effective for a wide range of medical and psychiatric disorders requiring no lifestyle changes, shifts in dietary regimens, or other therapies. The process of neurofeedback requires very little effort or active participation of the patient. Sensors are placed on the scalp to measure and monitor brainwaves. With special software, specific activity can be identified that gives rise to symptoms. The neurofeedback in is the form of a video game, music, or a movie that brings the brain to a more comfortable and efficient state.
