Muscle Testing

Muscle Testing, the term most known for Applied Kinesiology is an Alternative Medicine technique that by testing muscles for strength and weaknesses, is used to non-invasively evaluate chemical, mental, and structural aspects of health. Applied Kinesiology uses subjective data instead of empirical data and thus, it is not a science, but rather a pseudoscience. Many chiropractors, physicians, dentists, nurses, nutritionists, and other healthcare providers use Muscle Testing as a tool to help assess and adjust various body imbalances with may relate to nutrition, injuries, and stress, learning problems, chronic fatigue, asthma, ADHD, arthritis, behavioral problems and more. Although the reliability, validity, and credibility of AK is criticized as unproven and unscientific, for many healthcare workers, the technique is a resourceful tool.
